Providing lunch to deserted children

Today noon, the members of Rotary Club of Durgapur Elite visited the Andal Parivar Social Welfare Society, an organization that mainly deals with giving shelter to deserted children, help them getting nourishments, schooling etc. at free of cost for the last 16 years; and got an opportunity to provide lunch for all the children, their mentors and others. We are deeply honoured to get such an opportunity to spend some quality time with these children and make them smile

Mega Health Checkup Camp Community Service

Mega Health Checkup Camp

RC Durgapur Elite has conducted a mega health check up camp in association with Naba Prayas NGO and IQ City Hospital at Shibtala Nadiha. Doctors were available for dental, eye gynaecology, medicine, heart including ECG. 250 patients were checked. Patients detected with Cataract will be operated free. IQ City will give Rs. 6000 per pregnant women advised to take admission during discharge. Free medicines were distributed. Free books were distributed amongst children present in the occasion.

Felicitation Program for bikers of IFMR K2KVenture

*Ride for Pride* All the Clubs of Zone-II, RID: 3240 have organised a Felicitation Program for International Fellowship of Motorcyclist Rotarians (IFMR), India Chapter who are on a Rally from Kanyakumari to Kashmir (K2K) to promote Polio Awareness, Peace through Environment and Health. They have touched Zone-II of our District (RID:3240). The team comprises of 10 Bikers of whom all are Rotarians from Bengaluru, RID:3192. It has been an overwhelming session of fellowships. We have exchanged flags and felicitated them. PDG Dr. Rintu Guha Niyogi, AG, ZONE-II, Rtn. Sudipta Acharya and Zonal Coordinator, Zone-II, Rtn. Nirmalya Ghosh graced the occasion. A total of 30 Rotarians from the nine clubs of Zone-II participated in this program.
